I am loving the visits to the allotment even more now – instead of just watering and weeding – we are now going home with the rewards.
Bought back home the following yesterday…
1 Courgette.
3 runner beans.
Bunch of Kale.
2 Pots of cherries.
1 Bag of Mizuna
soon we will also be picking the Rocket/Orach/Perpetual Spinach and many many more beans of a all types.
I had anticipated losing all of the cherries on our allotment tree to all the birds – but they were looking dark enough to eat yesterday to I tried a few.
This then led to a tree climb – to try to collect as many of the dark red ones as possible. We managed 2 cups full – looking forward to eating these once they have been stewed with a bit of sugar.
Here is a picture of the harvest so far – a few gooseberries went in the bottom of the cup too.
