Hi I will sort the plants out once I’ve finished moving the soils around the pond,not going to put a lot of plants inside the bath well I say that now.

Well done once you get the hang if it it will be so easy for you, I do a lot of my posting of my phone it’s a lot easier thank putting pc on.

Your woodworking skills look OK to me. It needs softening with plants now though – don’t forget an oxygenator, we put Spiked Milfoil in our pond and it’s keeping the water nice and clear.

These ducks have been to our ponds before and had a wander around, both ducks had a nice chomp on the duck weed and frog spawn from other ponds.

I love the pictures of the ducks! We have some ducks that come and visit our pond too, they like eating the pond weed but they seem quite happy. We were wondering whether the female duck would come and make a nest near our pond but we haven’t seen any evidence of that yet.

I did have a good year but this year seems so slow to start, only sown carrots – spring onions and parsnips direct to the soil. The rest are started in the greenhouse, it’s trying to get them at the right time to plant out.

That’s was my second batch of leeks I had grown over the year, but more have gone on the compost.
