Going self sufficient in Norfolk

We’re off!

Our first seedling of the year poked it’s innocent little head up out of the compost today – a baby Red Brunswick onion, hopefully one of many to come:

There are other signs of rebirth around the garden, including daffodil bulb shoots, these are in the lawn:

There are more advanced daffodil shoots in some of the flower borders, but these are the first in the lawn. The hellebore ‘Christmas Rose’ came out on time and are still flowering nicely:

But strangely, a few antirrhinums are still producing fresh flowers – it’s probably hoping for too much that they’ll pull through till next summer.

However long they keep going, they’re very welcome.
