When we first moved here in the summer of 2007 the garden was in a state. It was sooo overgrown but green and lush. This picture was of the area that had been used as a vegetable plot in the past but not for many years. Full of enthusiasm for getting some veg growing we cleared this area and sowed a few seeds- carrots French beans etc in pots and then transferred then into the new veg plot- Only to see them eaten by the invading rabbits as soon as we turned out backs!! and yes- since then I’ve discovered that transplating carrots is not a good idea anyway. Despite the disaster we did manage to get a handful of French beans from this first ever crop. We were rather too busy that summer with renovating the bungalow to make it habitable that we did not give much time to the garden. So on to 2008…
