First seeds planted
well still not a lot happening on the allotment, netting has arrived for the fruit cage. So started to plant some veg for the plot and a few flower seeds for round the house. I have planted cauliflower, runner beans and beetroot in pots on a self watering trays and these have been placed in our little four tier mini greenhouse in the front garden to bring them on, so according to the instructions some of the plants should appear in two to three weeks. So hopefully will get to allotment tomorrow afternoon so hubby can put mesh on the fruit cage and sort the netting for the runner beans. Might also plant some seeds under the 2 closhes that we have. Still trying to decide wether to buy some strawberry plants or to try and grow my own, anyone got any ideas, also which type give a nice sweet and not to big strawberry . Is it better to put fleece round them or to use straw ?
