This is me – 38 years old (just), a mummy, a wife, a daughter and a very busy gardener !

Where am I – We live in France (Limousin), with 2 acres of land, 4 dogs, 2 cats, 7 chickens and a nice big veggie garden.

The Plan – to live as self sufficient as possible.

How I do it – I garden like my French neighbours, using the moon – my first 2 years here I had hit and miss success. When talking to my neighbours, who have BEAUTIFUL gardens, I learnt their secret and now I follow the same route too.

How am I doing? – Our plan is “en-cours” (on-going!!)

A New Year Dawns – I am planning on building upon the successes of last year, and hopefully not repeating the failures ! This year is going to be a very busy one, as my husband is celebrating his 40th Birthday in June and we have (at present) 60+ family and friends descending on us in early June. Which means lots of preparation and perhaps not as much time in the garden as I would wish – shame his birthday is not in the Autumn or Winter (though not sure Charles would be keen on the suggestion of changing his birth date !!)

Anyway, planning is happening, orders are being placed and compost being brought. The heated propagators are being dusted off and readied…..a busy year ahead !
