About Us.

So what to tell you. the usual stuff i guess, Married, 2 kids, three dogs, one horse, six chickens, two ducks, two allotments.

I started gardening about fifteen years ago when  we moved into our second house, our first didn’t have any garden  space suitable for veg. In 2005 i decided i wanted more space and found an allotment plot about a mile from home. Apart from one allotmenteer who had 4 plots the other six were in various states of neglect.

i was going to take one but obviously deciding she wanted me out of the house as long as possible my wife made me take on two completely overgrown plots. So six years on, the brambles have nearly gone, the bindweed is getting less and we are having various successes and failures each year, depending on the weather and pests.

My passion for gardening has led me to joining the Organic Garden Charity and the Heritage seed library. for the past two years i have been a Seed Guardian. growing and saving a specific variety of seed for the Library to save or distribute to other members. i get a lot of stick from the kids about guarding my plants!!

Additionally i still play football twice a week,  get out on my bike at least three times a week  and act as unpaid taxi driver for the kids.

over the next year i intend to expand my culinary skills to make better use of all this great Veg. its time to move on from my one pot wonders!
