Hiya Natalie, we did quite well last year which was our first with Celeriac, to be honest they were a bit on the small side, but we were late getting them in so we put it down to that. We did have to use two each time but there was enough and they tasted really nice. They do seem to be quite slow growing and we did wonder about the size and so this year we are growing Prague Giant to help combat that. I'll let you know if that makes any difference. Regards, Peter.

Can I ask how successful you have been with growing celeriac. I have tried twice, but each time, I end up with small celeriac which don't really grow into anything worthwhile eating. I have stripped back the outer leaves etc, but they just don't grow??

Hiya Billie, thanks for this. I already use soapy water to get rid of the white fly on the brassicas and it works a treat. I will put some vaseline on the apple trees as you suggest. We had no fruit at all last year maybe something climbed up and stop the flowers setting.

Hi.....just a little hint for your fruit trees.....a band of Vaseline close to the base of the tree, will stop almost all creepy creatures from climbing up the tree.
Also, soapy water is very effective from getting rid of aphids from roses.

love Billie

Hello again, I've just visited your blog...looks like you are enjoying yourself. I thought I would add myself to your subscribers list but you don't seem to have activated that widget. Perhaps you could add me and then we can keep abreast here of what's happening in your neck of the woods. We live almost opposite to youaccross the south of England in Kent so it would be interesting to see how early things come up where you are. Spuds for instance we have only just put ours in and we are early, not as early as some though and none of them have any coming through yet.
