Making a start
Not to be put off we set about digging by hand….this was going to be much harder than we ever thought!
However thanks to the efforts of a diamond of a Daughter in Law we managed to get a considerable strip halfway across the Lotti turned over and, we were just about in time to get a few rows of main crop potatoes in.
The work had to be inspected by our Grand Daughter first to make sure the ground was suitable for planting in though. “Whats that!” we heard her say on quite a few occasions.
Before we knew where we were, (well actually three weekends later) the job was almost finished and only one last strip to go to finish a whole half of the Lotti…..Thanks Jo x
